Ich kopier jetzt einfach mal die Warnung die ich bei Nomads Connected reingestellt hab hier rein..

I met one guy in Brasil who was robbed after using a ATM in Rio and heard from several other travellers where the same thing happened. While using a ATM they make a duplicate of your Bank/Credit Card and read all the informations out of it (PIN etc.). They install a "card reader" on the ATM and get the information wireless, I heard that they use ATM at Banks as well, and give a bribe to the security. So take a proper look on the ATMs you are using and better go to another one if sth. looks weird. Also check your bank accounts after/while visiting Rio, they only make small withdrawals, to make it look ordinary. (JULY/AUGUST 2011)

Man muss dazu sagen dass diese Vorgehensweise, Skimming genannt, auf der ganzen Welt praktiziert wird. Selbst in der Schweiz und nicht nur an Geldautomaten sondern auch an Billetautomaten gab es in den letzten Monaten hunderte Fälle. Sobald etwas ungewöhnlich ist, Finger weg!

Habe eben einen Schweizer getroffen dem dasselbe passiert ist uind so um 4'000 CHF (!!!) erleichtert wurde. Und ratet mal wo? Richtig, Rio de Janeiro. In seinem Fall wurde er übrigens vom Taxifahrer zum Bankomaten gebracht, keine Ahnung ob der involviert war. Und es war die HMSBC.
